The palate is warm and ripe, with lingering flavours and nice firm tannin structure that supports those flavours. There is a pronounced viscosity that provides middle palate richness. Very satisfying big wine.
Potential This is a big ripe wine with the capacity to mature really well. It will gradually develop more and more complexity with further aging and should drink at its peak from about 2007 to 2012 and live gracefully for years after that. It will repay good cellaring many times over!
Because it has already started to throw a crust, the wine will benefit greatly from being carefully decanted some time before drinking – a couple of hours would be ideal.
